Healthy, Fresh, Delivered
Family Farm Fresh will be making final deliveries on July 21st, 2016. Please read the note below.
We fought the battles valiantly for 10 years, but we did not win the war!
Over the past few years, it has become increasingly difficult to obtain the quality fruit and vegetables that we have desired for delivery to you. And, the cost of that quality has continued to escalate, as well as overall cost of daily operations. However, the main problem we have faced is that we have not been able to deliver the size, quality and variety we know you prefer.
After much careful thought and consideration, it is with heavy hearts that we have chosen to close Family Farm Fresh. Our last days delivering veggies, fruit and farm products to you will be July 19th, 20th and 21st. If you have a credit balance on the books at that time, you will receive a check in that amount sometime just before or just after August 1st. If you wish to discontinue your service and/or receive your refund check before the end of the month, please contact our office. Please continue turning in your baskets and keep a look out when you’re placing your weekly basket order, as many of our add-on products (nuts, cheese, honey, olives, etc.) will be available at a discounted price.
It is quite likely we will be offering navel and Valencia oranges, as well as “Cuties” and Shasta Gold mandarins, fresh from our McKellar orchards, beginning with the new navel orange crop, in the fall. Also, if it turns out we can grow our own produce or partner with a local farmer or farmers who will be committed to a quality operation, we may be talking to you again.
We very much appreciate the opportunity to serve you over the last 10 years. And, even more than that, we thank you for buying farm fresh produce from our local farms. God Bless You!
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to myself, or our office.
